Javi Montes, Corunna 1975

 Lives in Corunna city (Spain). He works for a time both as a graphic designer and illustrator mostly for the sports newspaper DXT and the University of Corunna. He starts his full time illustrator career with the galician newspaper La Opinión de A Coruña, doing graphic humor and illustrations for it´s several supplements, and at Bren Entertainment doing storyboards, character desing and props for the CGI TV series "Goomer", in 2002 he founded estudio Baobab along with several illustrators and settled as a freelance illustrator. Since then he has been doing editorial illustration (covers, magazines, children-young adult, textbooks), advertising ( storyboard, final art), and mostly drawing or coloring comics.

 Durante unos años compagina labores de ilustración y diseño gráfico principalmente para el diario DXT y la Universidad de A Coruña. Ya sólo como ilustrador trabaja en  La Opinión de A Coruña, como  humorista gráfico e ilustrador para diversas secciones y suplementos del periódico, y en Bren Entertainment haciendo storyboards, diseño de personajes y props para la serie de TV en 3D "Goomer".  A partir del 2002 se establece como ilustrador independiente y funda con otros ilustradores el estudio Baobab. Desde entonces trabaja haciendo ilustración editorial (portadas, revistas, ilustración infantil-juvenil, libro de texto) publicidad (storyboard, arte final) y principalmente cómic, como dibujante o colorista.
